most practices don't
Specialist focus, no hurry, and a commitment to plain language at every stage. These are not marketing claims — they shape how every matter is handled.

Six reasons families choose Phinai
Exclusive inheritance focus
We handle only estate and inheritance matters. That depth of focus means we know the territory and stay current in a way that a general practice cannot.
Plain language, always
Every document and every conversation uses language a family can understand. Complexity is explained, not assumed away.
Unhurried process
Estate decisions cannot be undone. We take the time required to get each step right, and we work at the pace that feels appropriate to each family.
Stated fees before work begins
A written fee estimate is provided before any chargeable work starts. Clients decide with full information, not after receiving an unexpected bill.
Complete confidentiality
Family and estate matters are private. Nothing is disclosed outside the engagement. All files are held securely and destroyed appropriately when no longer needed.
Bangkok-based, locally grounded
We are based on Surawong Road and understand the practical realities of Bangkok's courts, registries, and professional networks for estate matters.
Professional expertise in Thai inheritance law
The Thai Civil and Commercial Code governs how estates pass at death. Books V and VI cover inheritance in detail, but application depends on the specific facts of each family's situation — assets held, family structure, any prior arrangements, and the presence of foreign elements.
The Phinai team has worked in this area for over a decade. That record reflects specific, accumulated knowledge — not general legal experience applied loosely to estate questions.
What this means for you
- Advice grounded in current Thai law, not general principles
- Familiarity with Bangkok probate court procedures
- Experience handling mixed Thai-foreign asset situations
- Regular updating on Civil Code amendments
Documentation handled with precision
Wills and estate documents must meet specific formal requirements under Thai law to be valid. The wording must also be precise enough to avoid disputes among beneficiaries. We approach document preparation as a careful craft rather than a procedural formality.
Every document we produce is reviewed twice before it is presented to a client — once for legal accuracy, once to check that the language reflects the client's actual wishes plainly.
Our document standards
- Two-stage review before presentation
- Plain-language summary accompanying every document
- Client approval before signing at each stage
- Secure storage of copies after completion
Service built around the client's pace
Estate planning involves personal history, family relationships, and decisions that last. Clients should feel able to ask questions, take time to consider, and return to points already discussed. We actively encourage this.
Our advisors do not push towards conclusion. The meeting ends when the client is ready, not when the clock says the hour is up.
The experience clients describe
- No sense of being rushed or managed
- Questions welcomed at any stage
- Clear summaries after each meeting
- Flexible scheduling around the client's availability
Pricing that is clear from the start
Our service fees are published: ฿3,500 for a will drafting consultation, ฿5,800 for document review and update, and ฿7,800 for full estate settlement support. A written estimate is provided before any work begins, and any variation is discussed openly before it is incurred.
Estate matters can be stressful enough without financial uncertainty. We aim to remove that uncertainty entirely.
Our fee approach
- Published prices for all three services
- Written estimate before work starts
- No charges without prior agreement
- Itemised invoices on completion

Distinctive Features
Things that are particular to Phinai
The Wishes Summary Panel
After drafting, we provide a separate plain-wording summary of the will's key provisions. Families can read this to feel clear and reassured — it is not a substitute for the legal document, but a companion to it.
Annual Review Reminder
We write to clients each year to ask whether circumstances have changed. Wills and estate arrangements should reflect current reality. This costs nothing — it is part of our commitment to keeping arrangements in good order.
Secure Document Storage
Original signed wills can be held in our secure storage. Families and executors then have a reliable place to locate the document when it is needed, without searching through personal papers at a difficult time.
